Diageo Strategy Chief Jim Grover joins KPMG

Accountancy Age has reported that former Diageo strategy director Jim Grover has joined KPMG as a senior adviser to its consumer markets team.

Grover had been a member of Diageo’s Executive Committee since its formation in 1997, following the merger of Grand Metropolitan and Guinness.   Prior to joining Grand Metropolitan in 1993 he spent twelve years in consulting, initially at Booz Allen and Hamilton and subsequently at OC&C Strategy Consultants, where he was a partner and spent most of his time advising consumer goods companies.

KPMG Announces Appointments

KPMG has announced the appointment of Navdeep Arora and Justin Balcombe to their insurance advisory practice.

Navdeep Arora joins from McKinsey where he was a senior partner and is now leading KPMG’s insurance strategy practice

Justin Balcombe has joined as UK head of general insurance consulting, having been previously based in Dubai where he led Ernst and Young’s MENA insurance group.

Now is the Best Time for MBAs to get Jobs

Recently published data shows that MBA graduates today can expect to receive more than those from MBA classes of 2005.

MBAs have found that the degree can help in landing a job and can then make a difference when looking to make a positive career transition. Leading Employers to Recruit More UK MBA’s

Positive news is being generated in the wake of AMBA’s annual  Careers Fair that took place in London recently where 16 global employers  including Accenture, Amazon, Arthur D Little, Capgemini, Gartner, KPMG, Microsoft and Infosys were looking to hire UK based MBAs.
