BCG Opens 3 New Offices
Following strong growth in 2011, BCG announced opening of new offices in Johannesburg, Chennai and Geneva.
The new offices mean that the Boston Consulting Group has enlarged its global footprint to 75 offices in 42 countries.

John Browett is leaving Dixons in April, to take up the role of Senior Vice President of Retail at Apple.
He will be replaced as Group Chief Executive by Sebastian James, currently Group Operations Director. He has played a major part in the recent transformations at Dixons, including new store formats and propositions.
He joins from European Directories where he has been Group Development Director, a role he took on after six years at the Boston Consulting Group and earlier experience at the FT.

An alumnus of the Boston Consulting Group, Dilnot was a leader in the global Industrials and Sales & Marketing practice, working in both London and Chicago. He joins Shanks from Danaher Group.

A survey of over 2000 executives, conducted jointly by BCG and the European Association for People Management, found that talent management and leadership development remain the most important HR challenges in Europe. 60% of respondents said that these issues, which are critical for success, are insufficiently managed. There is therefore a significant opportunity for HR professionals to take a strategic role and adopt a fact-based analytical approach to ensure they are contributing to corporate success.
