BCG elects Lesser new Chief Exec

Rich Lesser will take up role of President and CEO in January 2013

He succeeds¬†¬†Hans-Paul B√ľrkner¬†who will go on to become Chairman next year after 9 successful years as CEO. During his tenure BCG¬†has nearly tripled its revenues to $3.55 billion and nearly doubled its staff to 8,400. It has opened 17 new offices worldwide and established itself as a full-service management consultancy with global reach.

BCG Opens 3 New Offices

Following strong growth in 2011, BCG announced opening of new offices in Johannesburg, Chennai and Geneva.

The new offices mean that the Boston Consulting Group has enlarged its global footprint to 75 offices in 42 countries.

Alumni moves at Dixons

BCG Alumnus John Browett leaves Dixons for Apple, replaced by Bain & BCG Alumnus Sebastian James.

John Browett is leaving Dixons in April, to take up the role of Senior Vice President of Retail at Apple.

He will be replaced as Group Chief Executive by Sebastian James, currently Group Operations Director. He has played a major part in the recent transformations at Dixons, including new store formats and propositions.



BCG Alumnus appointed new Lib Dem Chief Exec

Tim Gordon will be joining the Liberal Democrats as Chief Executive in the coming weeks, building on a lifelong commitment to the party.

He joins from European Directories where he has been Group Development Director, a role he took on after six years at the Boston Consulting Group and earlier experience at the FT.

BCG Alumnus joins Shanks as Chief Exec

Peter Dilnot is set to join the waste management group in February.

An alumnus of the Boston Consulting Group, Dilnot was a leader in the global Industrials and Sales & Marketing practice, working in both London and Chicago. He joins Shanks from Danaher Group.
